Caro Communications hits Paris

A post Christmas lull? Not at the Caro office, we were all looking forward to Maison et Objet in Paris, the destination of the design crowd eager to spot new trends and emerging brands. As the first design show of the year it is a perfect opportunity to see how the year in design will pan out.

The Caro Communications team all have a keen eye for spotting trends, here are a few we noticed at Maison et Objet. Rich tones of natural wood and terracotta; inspiration from the Spring/Summer catwalks, a cool Scandinavian feel of blush, nudes and pale wood, as well as surprising combinations and a juxtaposition of materials with the Coral & Moss Vases by Michael Fargo. New metallics: brass, copper and the beautiful silver vessels by Hazorfim. Bethan Gray led the geometric pattern trend with chevrons; other brands followed with linear shapes, triangles, facets and diamond forms. Neon was a hit again, zinging hues mixed with contemporary designs. Next stop, Salone del Mobile in Milan, which promises to be another extravaganza of treats from the design world.
