Following an interrogation of the issues that face Londoner’s today and the role architects can play in shaping the future of the city, Ben Adams Architects have captured their findings in a new website, Pointless City. The site provides a generational voice for architects on issues such as overcrowding and escalating property prices in the capital, providing both analytical data and conceptual architectural responses to a number of key themes – and the practice now wants others to participate by uploading art, essays, ideas, or simply a point of view to start debate.
The project is timely, as the RIBA too, is planning its inaugural International Week from 3-7 July around the future of cities and the role of the architect. At the heart will be a conference with leading architectural voices from around the world. Watch this space for more details shortly.
