Bartlett on course to lead the way with architectural education

Now in its 175th anniversary year, The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL is still leading the way in terms of architectural education and practice. From September 2017 it will be introducing three new postgraduate programmes and one new undergraduate programme. Each programme will expand the context and practice of architecture and the choices available to students after completion of their studies, cementing The Bartlett’s international reputation as one of the best providers of architectural education. The programmes – which include an MArch in Design for Manufacture and an MA in Situated Practice – will also maximise the unique array of affiliations that The Bartlett enjoys with both practices and institutes.

The newly announced programmes address new contexts and demands for architectural practice, and the move toward practical, collaborative and interdisciplinary practice. By encouraging students to develop a critical, independent, experimental and technically rigorous approach to architectural, environmental and structural design and engineering in buildings, The Bartlett’s new programmes will ensure that graduating students leave university with the skills and experience to tackle such pressing issues head on.
