Caro Communications’ MAISON&OBJET highlights

This past week saw the design community flock across the Channel to the January edition of MAISON&OBJET in Paris. Having now drawn to a close, the Caro Communications team can look back and share some highlights from the fair.

Tiipoi offered up a fantastic selection of its Indian product designs, such as the Jama-Khan rug, hand-dyed and hand-woven in Bhavani, Southern India.

Danish design brand Gubi exhibited a range of pieces from its collection, including the Turbo Pendant light and a fantastic Matégot Demon shelving display.

Design-directed by Terence Woodgate and Alba Bayona, Jewellery design brand Eiger displayed a range of evocative and progressive design led accessories, including pieces by Ben Kelly, Tomoko Azumi and Holly Fulton, to name a few.

Alki presented its new collection of woven chestnut screens and baskets along with beautifully minimalistic soft furnishings.

Elsewhere in the show, the team’s eye was also caught by Arita‘s series of incredible ceramics from Japanese producers, Donna Wilson‘s bright and colourful designs and legendary paint and paper brand Farrow & Ball‘s lighthearted display of miniature paint-filled milk bottles.

Outside of the show, the team also took to the streets of Paris to visit Mathieu Lehanneur‘s collection of solar powered street furniture, Clover.
