Caro Communications welcomes four new members to its London team

With more than 25 years’ experience, Caro Communications is a multidisciplinary PR agency working across architecture, property, design, retail, events and culture sectors. Due to exciting new opportunities and growth, the agency has announced the appointment of four new members of staff joining its 30-strong team. They include: Nigel Rubenstein, Account Director; Quitterie Vallet, Account Manager; Alicia Yau, Account Executive; and Gabriel Rodriguez Calderon, Account Executive.

Nigel Rubenstein, Account Director

With a postgraduate diploma in Asian Art at the School of Oriental and African Studies, Nigel has worked in cultural and design communications for over 12 years. He has held both in-house and agency roles, and has worked for institutions including the Museum of London, the Royal Academy of Arts and the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. Prior to joining Caro, Nigel worked on a range of high-profile arts and cultural projects including Design Days Dubai, Christie’s, the Pavilion of Turkey (Venice Biennale 2011), the Foundation Prince Pierre de Monaco (Venice Biennale, 2013), the Design Museum Holon and Salone del Mobile. Nigel is fluent in Turkish, and is currently leading on a range of design clients at Caro including VitrA Bathrooms, Stepevi, Mathieu Lehanneur and Roche Bobois.

Quitterie Vallet, Account Manager

With a background in design, interiors and lifestyle, Quitterie – a native French speaker – brings specialised communications expertise to the Caro design team. Having previously worked on the agency side in both London and Paris, Quitterie has an in-depth knowledge of the industry, and has experience managing multiple high-profile clients including Italian design brands Alessi and Foscarini, as well as British luxury brands, Smallbone of Devizes and Plain English among others. Quitterie is passionate about arts and music, and has a joint honours in Law and Art History from the Sorbonne University in Paris, a Diploma in Law from the University of Kent in Canterbury, as well as a MA in Law and Taxation in the Art Market from the Jean Moulin University in Lyon. At Caro, Quitterie manages high-end design and retail clients including VitrA Bathrooms, Mathieu Lehanneur, Stepevi and Roche Bobois.

Alicia Yau, Account Executive

Alicia graduated from University of Westminster with a BA Hons in Architecture. Growing up between Hong Kong and the UK, she speaks both English and Chinese fluently. She undertook internships at architecture and structural engineering practices during her studies, working on several large central London mixed use and commercial schemes. Prior to embarking on a career in Public Relations, Alicia worked in exhibition sales and marketing, also as a recruitment consultant in a boutique agency for a number of renowned architecture practices across the UK. At Caro, she brings her passion and experience in the built environment to clients in the property and architecture sector, including Knight Dragon, Londonewcastle, Patel Taylor, Studio RHE and Nex– Architecture.

Gabriel Rodriguez Calderon, Account Executive

A native Spanish speaker, Gabriel graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a Masters in Strategic Communications as part of the Fulbright programme. Having previously worked in several PR agencies and consultancy firms in London, Madrid and New York, Gabriel has a great understanding of the international media landscape, and has experience working across the architecture, design and lifestyle sectors. At Caro Gabriel is combining his love of architecture and experience in PR for clients including SimpsonHaugh and Partners, Moxon Architects, Maynard Design, Tate Harmer and Coffey Architects. Gabriel is also fluent in French and German.
