Dorothy was founded in 2010 by a group of friends who left their previous jobs in the world of advertising. Today, the Manchester-based studio produces conceptual prints, artworks and home accessories that are sold and exhibited internationally.

Dorothy’s main collection centres on a series of maps that apply the names of popular books, songs and films to existing geographical maps to create light-hearted and engaging prints.

Dorothy has worked with a number of established institutions. Its latest Star Chart, which features the names of various cult Sci-Fi films, has been selected by the BFI to be sold in its temporary shop during the 2014 Sci-Fi season, while two new, exclusive prints – as part of Dorothy’s popular Lost Destination series – will also be launched this autumn, in collaboration with the London Transport Museum.
