The Landscape Institute

The Landscape Institute is the Royal Chartered institute for landscape architects. As a professional body and educational charity, it champions healthy landscapes and a healthy landscape profession, working to protect, conserve and enhance the natural and built environment for the public benefit.

The LI represents the interests of its 6,000 plus landscape architect members and students by accrediting university courses, providing technical guidance, industry news and professional development opportunities. The work of the Institute includes a number of high-profile, issue-led initiatives around campaign topics including water management and liveable cities, and they also work closely with the government on policy and planning to improve the design and management of the urban and rural environment.

The Landscape Institute also runs an exciting programme of events and lectures as well as a highly respected annual awards programme.
