Matthew Hilton

Matthew Hilton is one of Europe’s most respected furniture designers and has three decades of experience in industrial design. His stunning portfolio of work includes classic designs such as the Balzac armchair (1991) that features in Taschen’s well-known book, 1,000 Chairs. He launched his eponymous brand in 2007 to wide acclaim, and is currently developing the range. Hilton has received numerous awards including being named Royal Designer for Industry by the Royal Society of Arts in 2004 and Designer of the Year in Elle Decoration’s British Design Awards in 2008. His work is held in permanent collections at the V&A Museum and Design Museum in London. He launched his first-ever watch at the 2013 London Design Festival.
