Sorrell Foundation

In 2009, the Sorrell Foundation set up the National Art & Design Saturday Club to give young people aged 14–16 the unique opportunity to study art and design for free every Saturday morning during the academic year at their local art college/ university. Now reaching more than 600 young people from 130 schools who attend clubs at 33 colleges/universities around the UK, members receive 30 weeks of high-quality classes in graphics, fashion, product design, fine art, digital media, photography, sculpture and engineering design. The students also receive masterclasses from leading designers and artists including Antony Gormley, Thomas Heatherwick and Naomi Cleaver, as well as visit London’s major museums and galleries, and exhibit their work in their own Summer Show at Somerset House.
