Wagumi is a specialist design shop based in the Oxo Tower on London’s Southbank. Owned by Japan-based Lives Inc, Wagumi showcases the best in Japanese design and craft, and provides a platform for small producers and new designers to sell their work. Wagumi champions traditional Japanese techniques and materials, together with contemporary aesthetics and ideas. Caro Communications has been appointed to support Wagumi on the launch of the UK’s first major exhibition of Japanese washi paper, Mino Washi from Gifu, at The Proud Archivist in East London. Supported by the Gifu Prefectural Government, the exhibition presents the finest contemporary uses of Mino washi paper, while exploring the tradition and craft of this classic Japanese material.
