Dorothy’s own love of books began in the classroom. The campaign is their way of saying thanks to the many teachers whose enthusiasm for the written word inspired them when they were at school.

By giving away 500 Book Maps to teachers, Dorothy aims to share its love of literature with a younger audience. Book Map will make an inspiring addition to the classroom, encouraging pupils to explore its fictional streets, hunting out much loved novels and searching for new reads.

Featuring the titles of over 600 books from the history of English Literature (and a few favourites from further afield), Dorothy’s popular Book Map is a fun and engaging print. It features timeless novels by the likes of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters, children’s favourites by Michael Morpurgo, JK Rowling and Suzanne Collins, as well as classroom classics such as Mansfield Park, Wuthering Heights and Animal Farm.

Dorothy’s Book Map retails for £25, but 500 copies will be given away for free to the first 500 teachers that apply. To claim your free map please visit www.wearedorothy.com. The giveaway will launch on 22 October 2014, and will run while stocks last.

About The Book Map
We at Dorothy were taught by many inspirational teachers in our mispent teens, including the softly spoken, chain smoking, kipper-tied Mr Fosbrook whose infectious love of literature was surpassed only by his love for Wolverhampton Wanderers. Dorothy’s Big Book Map Giveaway for schools is our way of saying thanks to extra-ordinary teachers like Mr Fosbrook who leave lasting impressions on those they teach.

Book Map is made up from the titles of over 600 books from the history of English Literature (and a few classics from further afield). It features books by the likes of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and Brontë sisters through to Michael Morpurgo, JK Rowling and Suzanne Collins and includes classroom favourites such as Mansfield Park, Bleak House, Vanity Fair, Wuthering Heights, Tess of the d’Ubervilles, The Waste Land, To the Lighthouse, The Grapes of Wrath, Animal Farm, Slaughterhouse 5 and The Catcher in the Rye.

Pupils will loose themselves in the fictional street map, exploring, looking for and discovering books read (and books to be read).
