Heal’s previews A/W14 collection

While we’re getting used to the sunny, warm weather, our team at Caro Communications is already looking forward to getting our hands on all the new pieces from Heal’s A/W14 collection.

The furniture retailer hosted an exclusive press preview yesterday in a rooftop apartment above its Tottenham Court Road flagship. Remaining true to its British heritage and celebrating the best of design and craftsmanship, Heal’s A/W14 collection focuses on three themes including Modern British, Future Craft and Industrial Chic. One of our favourite designs is the Abacus bedroom range – inspired by illustrations found in Heal’s archived catalogues which date back to 1905. While each piece offers a nod to the Heal’s legacy, they are firmly looking towards the future; rather than cast iron, the metal bed frame is made from satin black powder-coated steel, with oak spindles on the headboard.

At the preview, Heal’s also announced the winners of Heal’s Discovers which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Working closely with four universities, Heal’s has handpicked five graduates to make their debuts; each has been mentored by the Heal’s product and design team and given the opportunity to have their pieces manufactured and retailed in-store.
