If you’re looking for a place that oozes style and glamour to lay your weary head next time you’re in Paris, the Hilton Paris Opera has officially opened following a major transformation by hotel interiors experts Richmond International. Located in the historical area of Saint Lazare, and Paris’ vibrant Opéra quarter, the Hilton Paris Opera – formerly the Grand Hotel Terminus – is one of the original Grand Hotels of Paris.
The hotel has recently rebranded and Richmond was commissioned to design the interiors of the Hilton Paris Opera, returning it to its former splendour while adding contemporary elements. Originally the vision of architect Juste Lisch, the hotel first opened its doors in 1889 to welcome visitors of the Exposition Universelle.
The interiors of Hilton Paris Opera have been carefully created in a contemporary and sophisticated style whilst paying homage to its history. The hotel’s historical and social heart is the magnificent Le Grand Salon, situated off the entrance lobby. Here the formality of the original architecture, with soaring 14m-high ceilings, hand-painted murals and two monumental chandeliers, provides an elegant setting.
With 268 luxurious guest rooms and suites, as well as bars and restaurants, and glamorous function space lit by five crystal Baccarat chandeliers, this historic building has been brought back to life with Parisian panache.
