Rona Meyuchas-Koblenz, founder and creative director of Kukka and Kukka Studio, has been invited to tutor a workshop at Domaine de Boisbuchet, France, from 31 July to 6 August 2016, in collaboration with Amorim Cork.
Invited by Alexander von Vegesack, President of Domaine de Boisbuchet, who is also the founder of Vitra Design Museum, Meyuchas-Koblenz will run a week long workshop during which participants will use 100% renewable cork to create sustainable lanterns that operate on wind and solar power.
Meyuchas-Koblenz is inspired by the woods which have their own natural resources to produce light, such as fungus and fireflies. Her workshop is to help illuminate the woods, allowing participants to observe, listen and learn how it feels to be surrounded by this incredible nature.
During this year’s Milan Design Week, Meyuchas-Koblenz and Kukka Studio launched two new table designs, ABCD and O, in collaboration with Caesarstone and Prinz Optics GmbH.
