On 24 September, London Design Festival’s International Day, design and lifestyle brand Tiipoi will be participating in a seminar at the V&A – ‘Where is Indian Design today?’ – discussing the current status and future of Indian design.
Tiipoi’s Founder and Creative Director, Spandana Gopal, will be joined by a diverse panel of thinkers and practitioners, including Divia Patel, Design Curator at the V&A and curator of its ‘Fabric of India’ exhibition. The seminar will discuss how India’s identity is expressed through design, from colonial furniture, to hand spun khadi and mass-produced kitchenware.
Over at designjunction, Tiipoi presents a riot of colour with its new collections, including powder-coated tableware and its first range of handwoven rugs and cushions. Additional products to be launched include chopping and serving boards in Neem wood and a modern adaptation of the classic chai glass.
