Fans of the pioneering American photographer William Eggleston are in for a treat this week, with a rare opportunity to see a screening of William Eggleston in the Real World, a documentary by Michael Almereyda. The film gives an intimate insight into Eggleston, who is widely credited for raising recognition of modern colour photography as an art form. It follows him as he stalks the streets and neighbourhoods of Memphis, Kentucky, New York and Los Angeles, using everyday encounters on the street and in life as inspiration for his work.
