Read this year’s shortlist for the World Architecture Festival
June saw the shortlist announcement for World Architecture Festival (WAF), the world’s biggest architectural awards programme, which is happening in Berlin in November this year (15th-17th). At the festival the shortlisted projects, across 31 categories, will compete to be crowned World Building of the Year, Future Project of the Year and Landscape of the Year. Nominated projects for 2017 include: The Smile by Alison Brooks Architects, New Scotland Yard by AHMM, Technique by Buckley Gray Yeoman and General Projects, Oslo airport expansion by Nordic, Antwerp’s Queen Elisabeth Hall by SimpsonHaugh, Musée d’arts à Nantes by Stanton Williams and White Arkitekter.
