International event PR – London, Mumbai and Singapore

Following a successful run in 2024, Caro is currently delivering integrated communications campaigns for two significant international events – the World Architecture Festival (WAF) and Design Mumbai. The fun part is that these events take place in the same month, on different sides of the world.

‘Congratulations to everyone at Caro for successfully executing two events on a global scale—it is truly impressive’ – Megha Balooni, manager, visual communications, Morphogenesis

Aligning PR objectives

In November 2025 the World Architecture Festival hits America for the first time, with spring kick-off events in Miami and New York. Meanwhile, following the successful launch of Design Mumbai last year, the show has catapulted India onto the global design stage and we are excited to build momentum ahead of its second edition, cementing its place in the global design calendar.

To increase the international presence of each event – one well established, one emerging – our PR approach is strikingly similar: combining worldwide media coverage and strategic social media campaigns tailored to target markets and audiences, built around a cohesive timeline. A successful three or four-day event represents the culmination of a year-round, integrated communications programme, spanning media partnerships, content curation, press liaison, as well as organic and paid social strategies.

Our focus is to communicate the unique draw of each event to relevant audiences ensuring well-attended, well-designed events, each with a unique legacy.

Strategic partnerships, collaborations and storytelling content

Building media partnerships with influential design and architecture publications is key to amplify reach and build anticipation. Designer collaborations result in exclusive design features to draw in the press and were a cornerstone of our Design Mumbai campaign. By curating a line-up of influential speakers for Design Mumbai’s talks programme, Design Mumbai Exchange, we attracted a wide range of practices, institutions and press to the show. In both instances, social media strategy and storytelling content was key to increasing brand awareness and engagement as well as driving ticket sales.

Live event PR

Managing the communications for a large international event involves much agility and stamina. For the 2024 launch of Design Mumbai and at WAF’s 2024 edition, were on-site in Mumbai and Singapore, managing press engagement, coordinating interviews, distributing global news releases announcing winners, and delivering real-time multimedia coverage across social media channels.

Results and learnings

In 2024 we elevated Design Mumbai’s profile ahead of its debut show in November 2024, with its social media channels exceeding 63m impressions, including organic and paid content, complemented by over 130 pieces of press coverage with a combined reach of 210m readers.

For WAF 2024, Caro secured 430+ pieces of coverage from 40 different countries, with an estimated online audience of 6.35bn and a print audience of 1.19m. Over 450 social posts were created and new followers increased by 9.5k over the year.
