Tarkett

The brief – brand positioning at 3daysofdesign

Design-led flooring brand Tarkett pushes the boundaries of circularity by exploring how materials can be reimagined for a more sustainable future. Caro was instructed to bring this work to the forefront of the design news agenda ahead of its 3daysofdesign exhibition, Beginnings & Endings.

For the 2026 edition of the annual design event in Copenhagen, Tarkett brought together three internationally recognised designers, Yinka Ilori MBE, Laurids Gallée and Christian + Jade, to reimagine how the brand’s core materials could be interpreted. The designers subverted and recast carpet, homogeneous vinyl and linoleum outside of their ordinary usage, demonstrating how products can begin a new life beyond their original purpose.

Tarkett’s ambition was to connect Beginnings & Endings with wider the wider circularity conversation, and lead on how flooring can lean into craftsmanship, memory, permanence and the creative possibilities of circular thinking in the design industry.

What we did – storytelling, media relationships and partnerships

Our work began by defining a strong narrative and strategic positioning for Beginnings & Endings, giving the exhibition a clear role within the broader discussion on circular design.

Caro directed every stage of the campaign from the exhibition announcement through to on-site media engagement and post-event storytelling. Our targeted media outreach landed top-tier coverage and secured key media attendance at a VIP dinner and throughout the run of the exhibition.

The results – international press coverage

By translating Tarkett’s sustainability credentials into a compelling cultural narrative, we generated international media attention, securing features in Wallpaper*, Dezeen, ICON and The Times Bricks and Mortar.

Our work positioned Beginnings & Endings by Tarkett as a must-see exhibition, framing it as a thought-provoking cultural conversation with lasting relevance beyond the festival. Four months following the exhibition, we are still landing stories that centre Tarkett’s circularity credentials and each designer’s output in major publications including Architectural Digest and Vogue Living.
