The brief – Communicating the future of Australian architecture, fashion and design
We were approached by the Sydney-based Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas (SCCI) to devise and implement a communications strategy for their 2022 Fashion and Architecture Hub events at the Design Museum in London.
At the invitation of the British and Australian governments’ UK/Australia Season 2021-22, and presented by cultural philanthropist Dr Gene Sherman, the series of talks and keynotes took place over two weekends in October and November 2022.
What we did – digital engagement
Our press and digital teams created a multi-channel campaign that covered social media, media relations, event management, partnerships and collaborations, as well as launches of Dr Sherman’s book The Spoken Object in both Sydney and London.
Taking in multiple partners, as well as 40 leading Australian thinkers from the worlds of fashion, architecture, applied arts, culture and business, we immersed ourselves in the work of the participating speakers, and created content and media angles to share with the London design, architecture and fashion worlds.
The results – a celebration

The hubs were SCCI’s closing event and marked a closing chapter in Dr Sherman’s long and illustrious career as a cultural catalyst and academic.
We engaged in profiling activity which resulted in interviews in the Financial Times, the Guardian, the Jewish Chronicle and the Sydney Morning Herald, among others. We achieved coverage for the Hub events themselves in a range of titles including Another Magazine, WWD.com and Fast Company.
We also created more than 100 bespoke, multi-channel digital assets for speakers and stakeholders, and coordinated digital partnerships with organisations including the London Design Festival, Archiboo, the Australian British Chamber of Commerce and the British Council.
