RIBA International Week

RIBA International Week

A prestigious new event conceived by the RIBA president, Jane Duncan, International Week will take place from 3 – 7 July, with a conference taking place on 4 July. The theme is the New Urban Agenda, the adopted draft issued following the global United Nations summit in October 2016 in Quito to which 30,000 attended to agree goals for sustainable development and housing for the next 20 years. While the conference was well attended by mayors, politician and urbanists, there was scant representation from architects – so the RIBA is leading the campaign to engage with the New Urban Agenda to highlight that architects can offer much expertise in the creation of 21st Century worldwide cities. Caro Communications is working closely with the RIBA on the curation of the conference programme, as well as advising on the overall content for the International Week. Full press announcement will follow shortly.
