Celebrate Liverpool at the RIBA North opening exhibitions
As if a visit to see the North of England’s new national centre for architecture on the Liverpool Waterfront wasn’t enough, a number of exhibitions are running to celebrate the city’s long, and often maverick, architectural history. Following RIBA North’s opening last month, a temporary pavilion, ‘Un-Veiled’, is currently in situ in the Winter Gardens, taking the red mesh typically found on building sites to represent Liverpool’s iconic buildings. Find out more on the pavilion, designed by KHBT Architects and sponsored by Liverpool-based practice shedkm, here. Also running is the temporary ‘Liverpool(e): Mover, Shaker, Architectural Risk-Taker’ exhibition, and the permanent exhibition in the City Gallery, featuring an interactive 3D Digital City Model tool of Liverpool.
