The Grand Tour, a cultural journey across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, returns for its third edition from March to June 2018, with an exceptional programme of exhibitions at four of the UK’s most distinguished arts institutions – Chatsworth, Nottingham Contemporary, Harley Gallery Welbeck and Derby Museums. This season’s Grand Tour explores artistic process and industrial creation, yet each venue is unique, showing the diversity and cultural richness of the region. Extraordinary art collections, great historical houses and scenic landscapes are fused with some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists.
This series of landmark exhibitions will include major shows by photomontage artist, Linder Sterling, at Nottingham Contemporary and Chatsworth, a delicate range of lithophanes by Clare Twomey at The Harley Gallery, and a compelling show celebrating ‘The Art of Industry’ at Derby Museums. Caro Communications has been appointed to support season three of the project, working with each venue to successfully promote The Grand Tour as a cultural experience.
