Tishman Speyer
Tishman Speyer is one of the leading owners, developers, operators and fund managers of first-class real estate in the world. Established in 1978, Tishman Speyer has acquired, developed and operated 403 assets with approximately 166 million square feet of commercial and residential space, including New York’s Rockefeller Center.
Caro Communications assisted with the re-opening of one of Tishman Speyer’s most recent acquisitions, the former Economist building and plaza at 23-27 St James’s Street. The Grade II*-listed site, previously known as ‘The Economist Plaza’, was originally home to The Economist Magazine and is one of Alison and Peter Smithson’s last remaining sites in London.
Under Tishman Speyer’s stewardship, the development has undergone a substantial refurbishment to include the launch of a new public art space, and has been renamed as ‘The Smithson Plaza’ to celebrate the acclaimed architectural duo.
Caro Communications provided a full communications strategy, event management and press outreach to announce the re-opening and re-naming of the site, and the unveiling of the first art sculpture by Olaf Breuning.
