Multidisciplinary design studio Hoad & More, formerly known as Jona Hoad Design, has undergone a total brand review and today unveiled its new company name, logo, and website. Graphic design and branding agency Dutchscot was chosen to lead the rebrand activities to work alongside Hoad & More’s team.

The new brand identity and company name reflects and celebrates lighting specialist Hoad & More’s collaborative business approach as well as their multidisciplinary design studio ethos.

Established for over 20 years, Hoad & More creates and produces exceptional bespoke products, from large lighting installations to single touch-points such as switches and sockets. Hoad & More partners with developers, architects, interior designers and manufacturers within the hospitality, residential and private sectors, offering a wealth of experience, expertise and skill in design and manufacture.

The company’s logo has been changed to reflect its current image. Dutchscot saw the potential for a bespoke ampersand to form both the Os in ‘Hoad & More’ and connecting the two words. This custom ampersand gives Hoad & More a distinctive shorthand logo, which can also be used as a maker’s mark.

The new website (, which also launches today, seeks to increase Hoad & More’s online presence and demonstrates the creative the journey from sketches to finished pieces. The homepage is deliberately explorative – there is an element of ‘& More’ when rolling over the words, revealing short films and imagery that show snippets of the life of the studio, people and workshops that make up the practice. The tone of voice is straight talking but friendly, just like the team at Hoad & More.

Commenting on Hoad & More’s rebrand, Founder and Creative Director Jona Hoad said: “Our rebrand celebrates our uniquely collaborative nature. We recognise those we work with and how important they are to us. We feel our partners are like family. It’s the energy of working with other people that drives the company forward. We want to work with interesting, passionate people on interesting, passionate projects that make us strive to learn and discover on the journey to delivery”.

Alex Swatridge, Partner at Dutchscot commented: “We wanted to create an identity that reflected Hoad & More’s commitment to detailing: from the logo, through to typography, colour palette, imagery, tone of voice and materiality. As a starting point we wanted a name that better summed up the business and alluded to the team around Jona and the partners beyond. ‘Hoad & More’ reflects not only their collaborative way of working but also the varied nature of their projects, from beautiful switches to large scale chandeliers”.
