A Scandinavian invasion has arrived at Heal’s in the form of Swedish Summer, a pop-up market showcasing Swedish design brands for the home alongside elements of the country’s food, fashion and lifestyle (now on until 23 August 2015).
The Embassy of Sweden, together with Business Sweden and VisitSweden has collaborated with Heal’s to bring a distinctly Scandi feel to its Tottenham Court Road store. Eighteen Swedish brands are offering their wares, from furniture and lighting, to textiles, accessories and ceramics.
Exhibitors consist of new designers as well as established brands, to create a varied and truly Scandinavian experience for in-store customers. Swedish car giant Volvo is also showcasing its new car XC90 in the store window to coincide with the launch.
For those who want to get further involved, there is an array of networking events and workshops for the duration of this inspirational showcase. What’s more, there’s a cinnamon bun and coffee (aka fika) for those who buy a ticket to the workshop sessions which include: flower headband-making, Swedish embroidery, quilt-making and many more.
