Can you imagine your designs on Heal’s shop floor? Well, now is your chance. The retail brand has a long history of working with emerging design talent, and its annual Heal’s Discovers initiative highlights the brand’s commitment to design education by discovering and nurturing the next generation of designers.
In previous years Heal’s has approached up-and-coming designers or worked directly with universities. But now in its eleventh year it is opening up its submission process to everyone and welcoming submissions from designers and design students for the dining room – be it furniture (dining tables or seating), homeware (crockery and serveware) or textiles (tablecloths, runners etc.)
Three designs will be selected and put into production and the designers will receive a royalty for every item sold. They will be launched as part of the Heal’s Autumn/Winter campaign during the London Design Festival in September 2015.
