Heal’s opens a co-working café, and a new west London store

Now you can work and relax surrounded by great designs at Heal’s. The British retailer has opened its first co-working café in its Tottenham Court Road store, in partnership with social workspace entrepreneur Forge & Co. Ideal for local residents, a member-exclusive area includes 14 specially designed desks that are available to rent on a monthly basis. Inside the café – a British brasserie named The Canteen, in tribute to the space’s original use as an eatery for Heal’s workers – is a relaxing environment for customers to wind down and enjoy a few bites and drinks while they are in-store.

On the other side of town, the retailer has opened a new concept showroom in The Queens Building, a former art deco cinema, on London’s Westbourne Grove. The new store – designed and fitted by British designer Matthew Elton – houses the most comprehensive specialist lighting collection in London, and technology plays a key role with interactive, multi-media displays.
