Illuminated River joins Thames Lens with a brand new category
Thames Lens 2021 announced in June that the Illuminated River Foundation have joined the photography competition with the introduction of a new ‘Illuminated River’ category plus a host of new prizes.
The competition encourages non-professional photographers to capture unique shots of the River Thames and what it personally means to them with the theme ‘My Thames Vision’.
Sarah Gaventa, former Director of Illuminated River Foundation comments: “We’re delighted that Illuminated River has been chosen as the subject of Thames Lens. As London’s new public artwork, the longest in the world, we hope it will inspire budding photographers to use their creativity and fresh eyes to capture and celebrate the artwork, the bridges, and the Thames. We can’t wait to see the results!”
Enter the Illuminated River category with your best photos’ of the artwork for the chance to win some amazing prizes:
-First prize/ overall winner: £500 cash prize, plus an exclusive dinner cruise x 2 with City Cruises
-Second prize: Philips Hue Smart lighting system, plus an exclusive dinner cruise x 2 with City Cruises
The winners of the Illuminated River category will be chosen by a panel of representatives from Thames Festival Trust, Port of London Authority, Sarah Gaventa and Caro’s Digital Media Manager, Kimberley Murphy.
The competition closes to entries on Friday 28 January 2022.
