The Caro Open House collection for 2025

The 2025 edition of the much-loved Open House Festival takes place 13-21 September with a mega programme that highlights the best the city has to offer.

As cultural communications strategist, Caro provides support to the Festival throughout the year, and we were delighted to help the team acquire coverage in Elle Decoration, Financial Times, Time Out, Londonist and many more.

Each year, we curate a collection of places and activities from around the festival. Last year we highlighted spaces Saved by Local People, this year we’re looking at north east London by bike: a set of 9 places to see along C1: the 16.2 mile (26.2km) cycle route that connects the north eastern boroughs to the City of London.

Starting at Freezy Water in Enfield, cyclists can pedal past White Hart Lane, through Tottenham, into Stoke Newington, Stamford Hill and De Beauvoir, concluding close to Liverpool Street Station. Explore the full C1 map here and a map of locations from the collection here.

The collection features artists’ studios, bold new housing typologies, a Tudor castle and one of the world’s first known collections of transgender artifacts. If you don’t fancy making the trip on two wheels, you can also use the Weaver Line.
