Tarkett

The brief – brand positioning at 3daysofdesign

Caro was instructed to bring this pioneering piece of work to the forefront of the design news agenda ahead of its 3daysofdesign exhibition, Beginnings & Endings curated by TILT.

For the 2026 edition of the annual design event in Copenhagen, Tarkett working with TILT, brought together three internationally recognised designers, Yinka Ilori MBE, Laurids Gallée and Christian + Jade, to reimagine how the brand’s finished flooring products could be interpreted. The designers subverted and recast carpet, homogeneous vinyl and linoleum outside of their ordinary usage, demonstrating how products can begin a new life beyond their original purpose.

What we did – media relations and partnerships

Underpinned by a strong narrative and strategic positioning for Beginnings & Endings, the exhibition had a clear role to play within the broader discussion on circular design.

Caro coordinated the campaign from the exhibition announcement through to on-site media engagement and post-event editorial. Our targeted media outreach landed top-tier coverage and secured key media attendance at a VIP dinner and throughout the run of the exhibition.

The results – international press coverage

By translating Tarkett’s sustainability credentials into a compelling cultural narrative, we generated international media attention, securing features in Wallpaper*, Dezeen, ICON and The Times Bricks and Mortar.

Our work positioned Beginnings & Endings by Tarkett as a must-see exhibition, framing it as a thought-provoking cultural conversation with lasting relevance beyond the festival.
