Sculpture in the City — public art for the urban realm

Sculpture in the City is the City of London’s annual public exhibition of world-class contemporary sculpture. Set amongst the iconic architecture of the Square Mile, the programme uses the urban realm as a rotating gallery space.

Since its inception in 2011, Sculpture in the City has featured over 150 artworks by 129 artists from around the world.

Artists include established high-profile names like Anish Kapoor, Yayoi Kusama, Tracey Emin and Ai Weiwei, as well as emerging artists.

To support emerging artists in the UK, Sculpture in the City launched a biannual art commission for Aldgate Square, unveiling Jocelyn McGregor’s first public sculpture in May 2022.

Sculpture in the City is produced by the City of London Corporation alongside Lacuna Cultural Projects Studio; Caro manages all press and social media, finding creative new ways to engage with existing audiences and build new ones.
