See works by Sir Peter Blake, Simon Starling and Rose English in Season Two of The Grand Tour

Next month will see four major exhibitions open up across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire for Season Two of The Grand Tour. Nottingham Contemporary, Chatsworth, Derby Museums and The Harley Gallery, Welbeck, will each play host to a programme of events between March and June 2016, to create an unmissable cultural journey for today’s Grand Tourist.

The programme takes inspiration from the cultural journeys traditionally undertaken by 18th century gentlemen, with each institution interpreting the tradition in a unique way.

At Nottingham Contemporary, Turner Prize winner Simon Starling will present his largest exhibition to date, which will include a newly commissioned piece. The Harley Gallery will feature contemporary exhibitions by Sir Peter Blake and Rose English, while Chatsworth and Derby Museums will exhibit masterpieces and hidden gems from their own collections, presenting an opportunity to witness contemporary works alongside those by Old Masters. Across the board, The Grand Tour programme will see the venues reinterpret their world-class collections through contemporary art.
